He is intrigued by her concept of love and asks her to help him understand it. She then finds a computer with artificial intelligence, called TEC-XX, or TEC for short. Intrigued, she follows a corridor to another set of doors, which, again, open automatically. After getting dressed, she then approaches a set of doors, which open automatically. Meanwhile, Peach is taken to her sleeping quarters. He orders the Shadow Sirens to steal the treasure map from Mario. Grodus overhears this and has his troops investigate immediately. After Grodus is informed that someone has found the first Crystal Star, Peach instinctively slips in the name 'Mario'. She has been kidnapped by a group of marauders called the X-Nauts, and their leader, Sir Grodus. Meanwhile, Princess Peach comes to in a strange, unfamiliar, futuristic-looking place. He gives Mario the Diamond Star he found in Hooktail's stomach. After Mario beats Hooktail, Koopley, Koops's father, emerges from the dragon's belly. Mario receives a 'curse' along the way that allows him to become paper-thin. Mario then goes to Hooktail Castle to slay the dragon. get back to Petalburg, Koops becomes Mario's Partner, after recurring hesitation. They then get the sun and moonstones and fight the Golden Fuzzy. Mario goes to the Shhwonk Fortress and plays the 65th annual quiz show. There is a dragon named Hooktail up in a nearby castle that eats anyone who comes to slay her. They then lift up the Magical Map and learn where the first Crystal Star is.Д¬hapter 1 starts in a small town called Petalburg, near Petal Meadows. Upon getting there, Mario saves a Goomba named Goombella from the evil Lord Crump and his team of X-Nauts, who later takes him to Professor Frankly, and they all go down into the Rogueport Sewers (getting a Paper Airplane 'curse' along the way) to find the mysterious Thousand-Year Door. The letter tells Mario he must travel to Rogueport, and attached to the letter is some sort of map. The story starts off with a letter from Princess Peach, delivered to Mario by a familiar friend. Strangely the number still uses the early style. There are no 'You got' or 'Star Point!' graphics in the demo. The 'STAR POINTS!' graphic isn't capitalized in the final. The Hooktail Castle background has an extra blob of cloud and two extra cloudy lines in the final. It's also likely that the Purple 'W' Emblem would have been used for Waluigi's clothes, rather than combining the L and yellow W Emblems. The 'W' Emblem was recolored from purple to yellow. It is also slightly bigger in the early graphic. The handle of the Strange Sack was changed from a red shade to a browner one. The early graphic is shaped more like a traditional wrestler's championship belt. The Champ's belt has a (fake) gold star on it in the final, which is missing in the early graphic. The final banner also has some character images on it. The text on the game banner is higher up and is in a different font in the final.
